GenerLink Cord FAQs
1. Q. Why do I need a power cord?
A. A power cord is required in order to connect your generator to GenerLink™. Generator manufacturers typically do not provide power cords with their generators. An appropriate power cord is normally purchased separately. GenerLink™ Cord Connections offers you a convenient way to purchase a high quality power cord.
2. Q. Can I purchase the cord elsewhere?
A. Power cords can be purchased from your local hardware or home center stores and generator distributors. In addition stores that sell RV and marine supplies also frequently carry power cords. Be advised that you will need to know the correct type of connector your generator uses.

3. Q. What gauge wire is used to make the cord?
A. We use 10 gauge, SOW heavy duty, outdoor rated, water resistant (NOT WATER PROOF) wire.
4. Q. Why are there only four connector choices?
A. Our research has shown that the majority of portable generators have one
of the four NEMA connectors we offer as standard connectors. If your generator
has a different connector, we may be able to provide you with a custom cord.

5. Q. What is the cord price based on?
A. Power cords require specific gauge wires and connections based on your type of generator. In order to insure the highest level of quality and safety GenerLink™ Cord Connections uses quality gauge wires and NEMA connectors on our power cords. Less costly plugs may pose a risk to your home safety
6. Q. My generator connector does not match the samples on the order form, how can I obtain a cord with that connector?
A. If your generator has a different connector we may be able to provide you

7. Q. Can I have the cord shipped overnight?
A. Standard stock cords can be shipped overnight. Unfortunately, at this time, we cannot ship custom cord orders overnight.
8. Q. Can I pick up the cord instead of having it delivered?
A. Unfortunately, pick-up service of power cords is not available at this time.
9. Q. Can I order multiple cords?
A. Yes, you may order as many cords as you like, however, these power cords are high quality and you should only require one for use with your generator and GenerLink™.
10. Q. What connector is on the other end of the power cord?
A. The GenerLink™ receptacle box is fitted with a standard L1430R receptacle. A standard locking (L1430) NEMA connector is always on the other end of our power cords.
11. Q. Can I purchase a cord if I do not own a GenerLink™?
A. Yes, this is a high quality cord and can be used for other applications that can utilize the specific NEMA connector
12. Q. My electricity provider does not offer GenerLink™. How do I order GenerLink™ and a power cord?
A. You should contact your local electricity provider and express interest in GenerLink ™. If they do not already have a program in place, they can contact GenerLink™ Cord Connections for more information.
13. Q. How long does it take to receive my power cord?
A. Standard stock cords are delivered within 7 to 10 business days of receiving

14. Q. My credit card was not charged for my cord purchase.

15. Q. Can I pay for the cord using my bank debit card or with a personal check over the phone?
A. Unfortunately, debit card and personal payments are not accepted for payment at this time.
16. Q. Can I have the cost of the cord added to my electric bill?
A. Unfortunately, that service is not being offered by your utility at this time. You will need to pay for the power cord when you place your order.
